Yakshemash, as everyone’s favourite roving Kazakh reporter might say. And now we’re saying it too.

If you didn’t know already, there is a dictator in town, that’s right, General Aladeen - the culturally misinformed lunatic leader of the Repulic of Wadyia, but fear not, it’s just Sacha Baron Cohen’s new alter Ego in his forthcoming film ‘The Dictator’.

Imagine a ruthless, cold-blooded, misinformed and spoilt leader of a small North African country who goes on a state visit to America and ends up flirting with Megan Fox, then ending up homeless, then taking a job at a N.Y. vegetarian Deli and persecuting the cliental whilst blatantly highlighting the hypocrisy of America’s ideals.

Sounds like you’ll need nappies for this one as you’ll be laughing so much.

The dictator is out in cinemas nationwide on May 16th, but check out our blog entry on last night’s London premier.

Calling all hipsters and other nimble, elf like people skipping around town in their skinny-fit jeans, Yipiii has a new shop on its site and it’s called Urban Outfitters - that place you go to when you feel like wearing a t-shirt with a Japanese Star Wars movie poster printed on the front, so you feel special.

Yipiii’s culture vulture and bit of a trend setter himself, GioAT, has new blog entry up and it seems he’s had a pretty nifty butchers at what Urban Outfitters has to offer, so it’s worth a read. Especially if you’re sitting and staring at your screen right now and can’t get up because you’re jeans are so tight that one shifty to the right and you’re goner.

Gamers, we got great news for you! Of course, it’s not all bad for the fashionistas, jocks, airheads and couch potatoes either, if you happen to like medieval backside kicking fantasy games, which you might do, you never know.

The techies over at Ubisoft gave the gaming community something to salivate over their 360 controllers with a release of a teaser trailer for the much anticipated Assassin’s Creed 3 - with social recluses already circling dates in their diary so not to be disturbed whilst they go around pretending to be a hit-man during the American Revolution - yep, it’s a whole new setting.

Though it’s penciled in for an October 2012 release, don’t forget you can the previous incarnations of Ezio and co over at Yipiii for £1!

One of most enigmatic sports personalties to grace the sporting and public consciousness, Aryton Senna oozed a charisma, intellect and cool that arguably has not been rivaled since, not just in Formula 1, but sport in general.

Why have we taken a break from our witty one liners and decided to remember a legend you ask? It’s simple, our resident blogger GioAT has his new entry up over on the Yipiii blog page, remembering 18 years since the tragic accident that ended Senna’s life on the F1 circuit.

One of those figures that’s just too good, too admired and far too worthy to not to be remembered, Senna was legend - he burned rubber and navigated ridiculously sharp turns like a cheetah with a rocket pack on its back running full tilt through a maze of jagged edges.

So head over to the Yipiii blog and have a read of one of the most iconic figures of many a childhood and a figure that is remembered today not because he departed this mortal pit-stop so young, but simply because he was tremendous person who captured people’s imagination.

It’s not often that something causes a stir on Twitter that isn’t down to a cast member from the Only Way is Essex letting everyone know how their single brain cell is getting on. But it was no suprise to see what hijacked the social media limelight away from D-list celebrities with no clear talent, just recently.

The new international trailer for Ridley Scott’s forthcoming Sci-Fi epic, Prometheus, premiered at peak advertising time on Channel 4 last night and was then unleashed across the web like some viral alien creature hell bent on butt-kicking a bunch of paranoid humans on a decadent mining spaceship in funky late 70’s overalls…funny, we’ve seen that before, somewhere.

Over at the Yipiii blog, there’s a bit of banter about it all, how all the buzz around Scott’s latest outing might just live up to the hype- seriously, no kidding, there’s no Russell Crowe in sight. No wonder they filmed it on time!

When it comes to wearing your underpants on the outside, the only way you can get away with such public displays of serious wardrobe malfunctions is to go around fighting crime in a dark and seedy metropolis, with a flash car, pretty damn handy cape and bat like mask, topped off with a utility belt with more smoke bombs then you actually need. They never work anyway.

Our resident culture vulture, GioAT has a new blog entry up celebrating the first time comic book lovers were introduced to Batman, in detective comics, 73 years ago this week.

It’s certainly worth a read if you’re interested in how The Dark Knight first graced the comic book world back in the 1930s, looking like a very camp kid who when to a Halloween party with a costume that went wrong, but nobody told him.

We’re off to make sure our underpants are firmly inside our trousers.

There is only one 60 year old man who can wear a jumper to match the sofa he is sitting on without being questioned or labelled a little bit cuckoo, but be worshipped for it instead. It helps if you’re name is Jean Paul Gaultier, too.

Yep, the old French master of haute couture turns 60 today and is still looking way too good for his age, still setting trends with his designs and still smiling about it all - he obviously doesn’t take public transport in the morning.

Stick a wig on her and Meryl Streep can pretty much transform into anybody and usually get an Oscar or two to go it, which makes us think, is acting the only profession where wigs, a dodgy accent and a plot that tugs at the heartstrings gets you the highest accolade going? We’re off down the fancy dress shop to find out.

While we are busy dragging up, you should know that Miss Streep’s Oscar winning perfomance as ‘Iron Lady’ Margaret Thatcher is going to be available on Blu-ray and DVD from April 30th. But why on Earth reserve your copy for a copious amount of quids when you can win it for a tory-tight budget of £1!

Have you been watching the Voice? Its a cool talent show with a very interesting concept where the judges can’t see what you look like and they judge purely by the voice. Anyway JessieJ is one of the judges there. She’s very funny in it. She inspires a lot of people with her lyrics and she’s also a fashionista at the same time. If we were to describe her fashion she would be kind of like the Lady Gaga of the UK.

Sorry fashionistas, for all the trendy clothing posts we do, we have to balance it out a little, and what better way to do it then mention…football. Look away now if you don’t want to know the results…

After a thrilling week of 1st Leg Semi-Finals in the Champions League this week, everyone at Yipiii was inspired to head out to the park and start dazzling onlookers with some skillful wing-play and sweet step-overs. We mainly ended up overly gelling our hair, falling over and winking. A lot. Still, we felt we emulated Cristiano Ronaldo.

”Lets-a go!” says everyones favourite red overall clad, dodgy Italian accent spouting and thick, black moustache sporting plumber. We’re talking about Mario of course!

It’s the end of the week and you’ll either be heading out to achieve success in becoming incompetent by the repeated consumption of fermented vegetable drinks or you’ll had back home for a quiet weekend. Whatever you choose, you know and we know that you can always fit a game of Mario Kart in - either to decide who does the dishes or buys the next round.

Avert thy eyes people! Because we didn’t get our beauty sleep last night. Oh, and there’s a picture of a maniac just above this post.

Today is of course Friday 13th, traditionally associated with all sorts of mythical misfortunes where by superstitious folk lock themselves in at home in fear of walking under a ladder, breaking a mirror or spilling salt…good thing they don’t hang out with the Yipiii team on a Friday night then.
