It’s not often that something causes a stir on Twitter that isn’t down to a cast member from the Only Way is Essex letting everyone know how their single brain cell is getting on. But it was no suprise to see what hijacked the social media limelight away from D-list celebrities with no clear talent, just recently. The new international trailer for Ridley Scott’s forthcoming Sci-Fi epic, Prometheus, premiered at peak advertising time on Channel 4 last night and was then unleashed across the web like some viral alien creature hell bent on butt-kicking a bunch of paranoid humans on a decadent mining spaceship in funky late 70’s overalls…funny, we’ve seen that before, somewhere. Over at the Yipiii blog, there’s a bit of banter about it all, how all the buzz around Scott’s latest outing might just live up to the hype- seriously, no kidding, there’s no Russell Crowe in sight. No wonder they filmed it on time!
